Dr. Karam Ashoo DDS, FRCD(C)
Dr. Ashoo has been practicing endodontics in the area since 2009. Originally from Mississauga, he attended Columbia University in New York City to attain his dental degree, returning there three years later to complete his specialty training in Endodontics.
Dr. Ashoo is committed to providing ethical, expert care with an experience that is both personalized and comfortable. He adopts the latest technology in his diagnosis and treatment, practicing endodontics at the highest standard.
During his free time Dr. Ashoo enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is an avid tennis fan and enjoys cycling on long country roads.
Dr. Richard Hunter DDS, FRCD(C)
Richard is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. He completed a (Teachers Training Certificate) Residency in Endodontics in 1980 at Temple University in Philadelphia. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (R.C.D.C. (C)) in 1982. Richard taught endodontics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at the University of Toronto for 25 years. He has been an examiner for the RCDC for 15 years and more recently he was the Chief Examiner in Endodontics at the College. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists that promotes ethical dentistry, and a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Richard has lived and worked in the North Toronto community since returning from graduate school. In 1980 he established this practice, limited to endodontics, in the Yonge and Davisville area. Richard and his wife Judi have raised 3 lovely daughters one of which has chosen dentistry as her career.
Richard is passionate about dentistry and will do his best to explain any treatment you may require, as well as alternative treatment options and what prognosis you can expect. All procedures are performed in a personalized and courteous environment, utilizing the latest accepted techniques.
Dr. Alice Li DDS, MSc, PhD, FRCD(C)
Dr. Li obtained her Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Endodontics) from the University of Toronto. She grew up in Taiwan and practiced as an endodontist in teaching hospitals before moving to Canada. Dr. Li is warm, gentle and passionate. She takes great pride in addressing her patients’ needs. She is committed to providing evidence-based treatments for her patients. Dr. Li received numerous national and international awards and accolades for her contributions to the field of endodontics. Her research has been published in the Journal of Endodontics and the International Endodontic Journal. Dr. Li remains closely associated with the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto, both as a clinical instructor in Endodontics, and she continues her award winning research . During her free time Dr. Li enjoys sitting at her favorite coffee shop, practicing piano and staying active with the latest fad in-home workouts.
Dr. Michael Tiedemann DDS, MSc, PhD, FRCD(C)
Michael was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. He completed his BSc and Ph.D. in chemistry at Western University, where he also earned his dental degree in 2017. Michael finished as class president and won the Endodontic Award. For the next three years he practiced dentistry privately in Hamilton and Grimsby, Ontario, and returned to academia at the University of Toronto for his specialty training in Endodontics. He received his MSc from the University of Toronto and his Fellowship (Royal College of Dentists of Canada) in Endodontics in 2022. In his spare time, Michael enjoys life with his wife and three cats! He enjoys being a nerd with tabletop miniature gaming and brewing his own beer. If not contemplating being on his peloton, he may be on a road or mountain bike. Michael finally broke his three-year no-fish streak up in Restoule, Ontario, catching some keeper bass while only losing one lure. Please feel free to reach out to Michael.
